Patterns

I've always thought that the more difficult the pattern, the more beautiful the result. There are parts of my life that seem to follow the same thread, but as I've gotten older, I've realized that things don't have to be more complicated to be more beautiful or interesting.

For example, this is a granny square blanket. It's a fairly simple pattern to replicate once you understand how it works, but in the beauty is the simplicity of it. It doesn't have to be something complicated for anyone who looks at it to not see the beauty in it. The beauty is in the hard work that lies behind it and is a testament to the statement that a little hard work gives you great results.

Things in life don't have to be complicated in order for you to enjoy them. Sometimes, simple is best.
